The MassGIS webservices (which have the external SDE server as a datasource) can output KML format, so it's easy to add our layers to Google Earth.

The simplest way is to go to this web page: http://giswebservices.massgis.state.ma.us/geoserver/mapPreview.do for a list of layers.

(naming schema of schema.layername from SDE - for example GISDATA.SCHOOLS_PT) and click on the KML link. If the user has Google Earth it should automatically launch. The symbolization of the layers is the same as in OLIVER.

The link is constructed like this: http://giswebservices.massgis.state.ma.us/geoserver/wms/kml?layers=massgis:GISDATA.TOWNSSURVEY_POLYM
